German Circus Replaces Animals with Stunning Holograms

The circus is one of the oldest and most successful circuses in Europe, it owns the largest circus collections in the world, including old costumes, circus books and posters, which they plan to display in a museum.

Bernhard Paul and André Heller have always been visionaries. It is thanks to their perseverance and trend-setting thinking that they managed to sustain their shows for decades. That is why, in order to follow current times and please conscientious clients, Circus Roncalli decided to replace live animals with holographic ones thus joining the fight against animal cruelty which circuses have been accused of for years.

Duck-a-thon Festival is a Free public event that takes place every year in Huntington Beach, CA.

The Duck-a-thon is a rubber ducks hunting event. People attempt to catch the rubber ducks that are dumped from the Huntington Beach Pier and find their way back to shore thanks to the ocean currents.

The competition is divided into two races, one with baby ducks, the other with corporate ducks which are a slightly larger in size.

Over 4,000 rubber ducks are dumped from a big truck into the Pacific Ocean. The first 60 baby ducks that wash up on shore win a prize for their owners.

Corporate ducks compete for the coveted Golden Duck Traveling Trophy. Corporate ducks are larger rubber ducks and there is only one winner in this race.

The Duck Festival is not only about rubber ducks races but also about food, shopping and entertainment. The space is filled with vendors with arts & crafts, food treats, décor, jewelry and more. Children’s Area includes bounce houses, retired rubber duck decorating, games, a toddler’s zone and prizes.

Russian Femininity Marathon

TATPROF, a Russian company expert in the field of architectural systems and aluminum products, launched a campaign that they’ve labeled “femininity marathon” which offers female staff incentives for wearing skirts or dresses to work. Those who wear a dress or skirt no longer than five centimeters from the knee obtain an additional $1.50 on top of their regular wages after they send the company a picture of them in the required attire.

The company claims that their marathon of femininity isn’t fueled by sexism but sheer fun. The company allegedly want their 70% male staffers to unwind during summer and invite women to embrace their forgotten femininity due to hard work, busy schedules that make them automatically opt to wear trousers to work.

TATPROF has in mind other femininity campaigns to brighten up their male dominated work staff, such as a competition to see who is the quickest at making dumplings…etc.

TATPROF, CEO Sergei Rachkov, claims that his campaigns are also geared up towards women, as he doesn’t want them to mix their gender roles and renounce their female essence by wanting to become “one of the guys” in order to blend in better or be taken more seriously by their peers. He wants them to preserve their femininity and warmth without having to give it up and opt for male looks.

The company also has plans for their male staff, by staging masculinity challenges such as pull-up competitions.

I personally don’t find it as offensive to women as it is towards men. How degrading is it to be viewed as a man who is easily entertained by short dresses, and that such a thing is perceived as the highlight of his day.  One can consider this to be a cheap opinion of what a man is or should be. Surely a real man wouldn’t accept that someone he loves whether his lover, wife, sister, mother, coworker, be used for any motive nor that he is so weak as to be entertained by a short skirt.

After all, a woman can preserve her femininity and look stunning in any chic attire whether a sexy trouser or skirt, add to the fact that happiness is the sexiest thing a woman can wear, how about men focus on making women happy rather than dressing them if they want them to radiate sexiness?!

Sweden: The Edible Country

theediblecountry.jpg

Sweden, the Scandinavian nation,  renowned for its thousands of coastal islands and inland lakesis, its IKEA brand, legendary ABBA band,  stunning natural landscapes and Michelin star culinary scene, launched a new touristic initiative.

In a touristic bid to capitalize on culinary tourism, Visit Sweden launched an exceptional program, transforming the country 100-million-acre landscape into a fine-dining restaurant thus highlighting Sweden’s wilderness and gastronomic richness.

TheEdibleCountry3

The campaign titled Edible Table aims to create an accessible alternative to unhealthy foods and an inactive lifestyle, that is why it turned to four of Sweden’s Michelin-starred chefs. Together, they aim to transform the whole country into a do-it-yourself gourmet restaurant. Because in Sweden, delicious healthy food is just around the corner – in nature.

The concept of do-it-yourself fine dining means cooking Michelin food for free, with ingredients that one can find in Sweden.

TheEdibleCountry 2

Four Swedish Michelin-starred chefs, Titti Qvarnström, Niklas Ekstedt, Jacob Holmström and Anton Bjuhr,  have created the menu for this culinary journey to the edible country. Despite being from different backgrounds and walks of life, they have a couple of things in common: Their love for nature and what it has to offer. This is perhaps one of the keys to the Swedish culinary success: Swedish chefs started to look for produce on the other side of the hill, instead of from far away.

You have several options to book from, each with a landscape more mesmerizing than the other: https://visitsweden.com/our-chefs/
